Healthtech SME Program
The Healthtech SME is our flagship program. It provides access to our network of health technology experts that helps eligible companies develop products faster, scale up their business, better understand user needs, and create successful new technologies.
Eligible Canadian-controlled businesses may qualify for cost sharing to further stretch project R&D funds.
Here’s How It Works
Circle Innovation support projects with costs between $50,000 and $500,000.
Circle acts as the project manager to ensure that projects stay on track for timelines, deliverables and budgets.
A typical project would involve between 3 and 5 collaborating organizations.
Circle Innovation takes no ownership of intellectual property developed during projects. Any funds are non-dilutive.
Project funds can be provided to businesses or individuals at arm’s length to project lead applicants.

Projects can be approved and started in as little as 2-3 weeks from application to project start.
